it also gets rid of the primitive shift rod with the ball and socket arrangement which in a towd would soon fill up with crud with the lack of bottom on the tunnel area. the internals of the shifter are much more refined giving a nice shift. it enables you to run some uni joints for the shifter to ...

Thanks v6manx. I've got one here that I've had for ages. Just never installed.
I think others are better qualified to answer your question DD. but my understanding is you can adjust your rear suspension height without pulling it apart. Adjustable spring plates to something similar.
