Ok after much thought I have decided it is best to start at the front and work my way backwards.

So first up I will do the following:

Mount Front spindles
Mount Top Hats and Rotors
Fabricate Brake Callipers mounts
Mount front Steering arms
Modify Liberty steering rack to fit
Fabricate Steering rack mounts
Fabricate steering arms to suit steering rack
Mount Power Assist Steering Ram and fabricate links and brackets to suit
Fabricate rear support brackets for A-Arm front end
Modify and mount steering shaft, column and supports.

That should mean the front half can at least have wheels and start rolling around. Then I can start on front sheet metal and fibreglass etc.

Well updates to date are not worthy of pictures....

All I have managed to do is get it out from under a pile of crap and moved it to the bottom shed so it doesn't get in Dave's way.

Hopefully I will have some pictures soon enough .. with 164 days and counting I aint got time to waste.

Wow time is slipping away. I have almost completed stage one which is simply getting the buggy out, cleaning it and finding all the parts I have bought for it and setting it up in a build bay. I am on sched to start working on it Sunday with the race on to get mock up done by the 23rd so I can pick up any parts I need while I am OS.

Well we must be close to 160 days left.

Luckily while I was out in the shed turning the lights off I noticed the fairies had begun work and my buggy was not only setup in the build bay but its front end had grown earns and stoppers. With the Wilwood calipers in place and the vented rotors mounted with some luck I will be able to test fit the wheels and ensure it all clears and then work out where the steering arm need to be on the uprights.

Luckily for me I have spoken to the fairies union and they have informed me that weekend work has been approved so I should see some more progress over the next 24 to 48 hrs.

They look much better on the buggy than sitting in the cupboard collecting dust

Often when opportunity comes along too many ignore it.

As most would no doubt be aware I was given the opportunity to own Meyers Manx Australia and I took it with both hands.

As a result I have moved the Iguana to the back shed as I felt as this time of my life I really needed to have a Manxter and deep down in side I am sure I was always trying to make the Iguana be a manxter anyway.

So ths build has stopped, parts packed away and hoist cleared. A Manxter build will begin soon enough ....
