If it makes power or helps it get to the wheels this is where it is at

Hey guys,

After getting my 2lt running sweet I have been thinking of keeping it and not worrying about
putting another motor in as I was quite content with its power........

Until.......... today cruising in my buggy a beetle pulled up beside me and my kids at the lights, took off and I could not believe
it's acceleration. Yes guys it was aircooled, 2276 putting out approx 160-170hp and is his daily driver. (And it sounded
sweet!)

So it got me thinking about selling my 2lt and paying Rod another visit to talk $$$

Why not just bore and/or stroke the Type IV. They are a far better engine than the Type I. much stronger, reliable and will last way longer.

Hey guys, from the prices I got the Type IV was even going to cost me way too much to rebuild, where as
if I put in a 2276 turn key I can still sell this 2lt running sweet and put the money toward my Type I??

I'm just waiting for Rod to get back to me with some ideas & prices.
