Type 4 engine build .

Postby occy8 » Sat Oct 25, 2014 8:23 am

Hey guys , just finished converting a 2 L type four into an upright for a bit more power in the buggy. A good friend had a Kombi sitting out the back of his place and kindly gave me the engine . It was in bad nick on the outside but turns out it was a 2 L . So stripped it back to small block cleaned it up and ordered upright kit from mike at sharpbuild and new 96mm c&p for US ,reground valves and seats got hold of a set of 40 dells and 4 into one exhaust from samba . Put it all together and you can see the results , just workin it in now , drives heaps stronger and feels fast. Now need to fix up a cage .
