Well we must of been getting withdrawal symptoms from not working on a towd so the build continues….

The hook and pin stops on the front beam have now been pretty much finished which will prevent the leverage of the longer arms folding back under certain reversing circumstances i.e. up a hill or reversing into an obstacle….also a resting point whilst airborne…..

Once these were finalised the spring pack had some loving with a bit of tuning as the front end of a towd is lighter then most other offroaders

Wheels were put back on and we wheeled it out to see what the overall stance looked like

Overall stance is good! Now you can drive over a fisherman's bucket and tackle box on the beach without disturbing the peace.

Dude now you are being silly, they will be to drunk to push it around on the beach and Andrew has never got any of his projects driving again after pulling them down.

I can help there,

heres the bracket/mount for the turning brakes/fiddlers....

Image

notice the curved notches....this sits on the seat belt mounting bar behind the seat area.....

should work well with just enough clearance for the shift shaft to go under it....

also did a cover plate with two slots for covering the hole but i didn't get a photo of that......

Long time no posts , no excuses but i have been working on it !!!!!!!
Have cut and folded most of my new fuel tank out , which uses the triangular void that it fit's into better than the original round tank and the new tank should hold around 55 to 60 litres , sorry no photos' of this yet

Yesterday we also finally got stuck into the rear mudguards / fenders which we have moved out approx 50 mm and back 55 mm to cover my large rear stance .
The plan with the guards / fenders is to cut ,modify , and clean up the existing guards , use these as plugs for a mould ( the existing guards are in very poor shape have been modified a few times already and weigh way to much ) and produce a couple of sets , ie one set to go on the car and a spare set .
Any way here are a few pics of the progress so far
