Well for our first run of the year, I thought we'd start out slow with a road run in Gold Coast Hinterlands , more specifically Mt Tamborine.
Located in the peaceful and picturesque hinterland only an hour from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Tamborine Mountain is one of Queensland's secret treasures. The Tamborine Mountain, (Mount Tamborine, Mt Tamborine) tropical rainforest, populated with distinctive, brilliantly colourful, exotic birds and many interesting variations of flora and fauna provides a peace and tranquillity, that is a complete contrast to the incessant daily noise and never ending demands on our time.
Spoil yourself and your family, escape for a while and enjoy the outstanding experience that the mountain has to offer. Come on up and visit Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland and put your head in the clouds!
Nice spiel hey , you'd be surprised what you can find on the net.
Anyway ,
Meeting : Stapylton BP Exit 38 on M1
Time : 9 am
Run : Run up around Mt Tamborine and surrounding areas with a few stops at points of interest , with final destination at the Bearded Dragon for a late lunch and then back to my place for those interested , just 2 minutes away
Run Coordinator : Me , Andrew 0411556744
hope to see you there

We had a good turn out today, despite the poor weather predictions. Good to see some buggys out enjoying the weather on the black top for a change.
We started at BP at Stapylton at 9am

We headed off down the highway to meet up with Abby & Greg and Gunter before heading up the mountain

With the full group of 6 Buggies, we headed up the mountain and stopped in at the Mt Tamborine Historical Village to have a look around

We then headed over over to the winery for some taste testing

We then headed down the mountain to the Bearded Dragon for lunch.

Very enjoyable run Andrew.
Your shed might rival Paul"s in size.
No excuse for finishing the Towd and the Bus now.
Except for gardening commitments - a big yard!
